2026 Detroit Design Award Winner
Step into a Dining Room where timeless design meets modern artistry. This Dining Room received second place in Detroit Design‘s 2026 Traditional Dining Room Category. Its’ Classic architectural details—like a barrel-vaulted ceiling, elegant moldings, and a serene neutral palette—contributed to this achievement. At the center, a custom Macassar Ebony dining table, edged in rose gold brass and supported by an inlaid hammered-brass base, reflects the finest local craftsmanship. Surrounding details, from curated art pieces to luxurious textures, create a cohesive, inviting space that balances sophistication with warmth. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the room in natural light, blurring the line between interior elegance and the landscape beyond. Every element honors tradition while celebrating exceptional artisanship and design innovation.
Awarded second place in Detroit Design‘s 2026 Interior/Exterior Lighting category, there’s no question that the dining room’s artistry reaches its pinnacle in the lighting. The handcrafted porcelain chandelier by a Romanian artist transforms the space from traditional to transcendent. More than illumination, it’s a sculptural centerpiece whose cascading porcelain forms capture and diffuse light with a soft, shifting glow. As daylight changes, so does the chandelier’s character—casting layered illumination that brings movement and emotion to the room. This piece redefines lighting as functional art, demonstrating how craftsmanship and vision can elevate a space into an unforgettable sensory experience.
